The $50,000 Challenge
Thank you for taking a moment to consider giving to Skylight Opera Theatre. As we begin our 50th Anniversary Season we are trying something new as we hope to raise some money in a viral way. The question is, "Can you help us?"
If you are already a donor to the Annual Campaign, we thank you and we ask you to keep giving to that campaign. If you can give a little more right now, this would be a great effort for you to support.
The Skylight is in a period of great change and flux, as many arts groups are in this current economy. One way you can help aid our efforts is to give to this $50,000 fundraiser that is in addition to our Annual Campaign fundraising efforts. We think this can be achieved by spreading our net and asking a large group of people to add to our annual fundraising total. This fundraiser will strengthen the Skylight community and keep us on the right track for a superb 50th Anniversary Season, as well as another thrilling 50 years to come.
We hope to raise the $50,000 through pledges and donations by the time of our season opener, THE BARBER OF SEVILLE on September 18, 2009. Please consider giving something and please also consider sharing this quick and easy initiative with all your friends.
